
ABOUT DUO-WEI YANG
Duo-Wei (DoDo) Yang was born in January 1998 in Taipei, Taiwan. At the age of three, she moved to Boston, U.S.A. for two years, then moved to Singapore, where she lived for seven years. Duo-Wei has attended several international schools, one American and one British, and lived in the
now-demolished Gillman Heights. In December 2008, she moved to Decatur, Georgia, and has been there ever since. Duo-Wei is now a Computational Media major at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Duo-Wei specializes in designs, especially infographics, but also likes investigative journalism. She hopes to have the chance to learn how to utilize other types of media better, most notably audio and broadcast.
She won the 2013-2014 and 2015-2016 Newsmagazine Pacemaker award from NSPA, which is often dubbed as the scholastic equivalent of the Pulitzer Prize. She also won a 2016 NSPA Multimedia Story of the Year Award. Duo-Wei has also won various GSPA (state) awards for illustration, infographic, and photoillustration, and first place for the SIPA (Southern Region) for news stories.
